The USTA Southern Section and USA Tennis Florida announced the signing of BMW of North America as title sponsor of Combo Doubles for the USTA Southern Section and USA Tennis Florida. The deal officially began on January 1, 2005 and runs through January 31, 2007. This partnership also includes the Mini Cooper brand as an Official Sponsor of the USTA Southern Section and USA Tennis Florida Combo Doubles Program and allows them to promote their automobiles to all league players and teams throughout the section.

The deal will allow BMW and Mini to hold and promote test drives and car displays at each of the USTA Southern Section and USA Tennis Florida Combo Doubles and State Sectional Championship sites. BMW and USTA Southern Section will be working together to provide incentives for USTA Combo Doubles Players to visit BMW and Mini Cooper dealerships throughout the region.

“BMW is once again proud to be part of the USTA Combo Doubles Leagues in the Southern region. This gives us an excellent audience to showcase not only BMW but Mini Cooper as well. We look forward to an exciting year,” said Hank Schoeler, Regional Sales and Marketing Manager for BMW of North America.

“I am thrilled about our partnership with BMW and Mini Cooper,” said Jeff Gray, USTA Southern Section President. “The BMW brand conveys high quality, excitement and fun, all things we hope to put forth with our tennis programs. I’m confident that their participation will help us in our mission of growing the game.”

“We are fortunate in Florida to enjoy an exciting league tennis program.  Having BMW and Mini Cooper as a sponsor for our USA Tennis Florida Combo Doubles will enhance our programs even more!  One thing we know is that our players love to take those test drives!  We look forward to a win-win for BMW, Mini-Cooper and tennis players in Florida,” added Don Cleveland, President of USA Tennis Florida.
