Tickets On-Sale for Swingtime -- USTA Members Receive Discount

USTA Members can now purchase tickets at a discount for Swingtime's Tennis Exhibition through C & H Events at (239) 649-7171 or TicketMaster at (239) 334-3309.  To receive the discount, provide your USTA membership number when placing an order.

Swingtime's Tennis Exhibition will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2005 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at The Players Club & Spa at Lely Resort and will feature three matches. Tickets cost $75 for a Box Seat ($67.50 for USTA Members) and $40 for a General Admission Seat ($34 for USTA Members).  Box Seats packages including, four seats, two Box Seat Parking Passes and a listing in the Event Program can be purchased for $400 ($360 for USTA Members).  Swingtime’s Tennis Exhibition is played in an intimate stadium and has sold out the past three years.

The Tennis Exhibition is part of Swingtime's weekend activities that also includes a Tennis     Pro-Am on Saturday morning at The Players Club & Spa at Lely Resort, the Swingtime Gala on Saturday evening at The Registry Resort & Club and a Golf Pro-Am Tournament at Olde Cypress on Sunday.  To participate in these activities call C & H Events at (239) 649-7171 or visit www.chevents.com.

Former professional player, coach and Davis Cup Captain Tom Gullikson is the host of Swingtime.  Joining him will include tennis legend Chris Evert, tennis stars Mardy Fish,      James Blake, Mary Joe Fernandez, Luke Jensen, Kathy Rinaldi, Corina Morariu and Justin Gimelstob.  An   array of other professional athletes and celebrities will be announced closer to the Event.

Swingtime benefits The Tim & Tom Gullikson Foundation.  The Foundation aims to assist brain-tumor patients and their families in managing the physical, emotional and social challenges presented by the illness.  The Foundation was established in 1995 when world-class tennis pro, twin-brother to Tom Gullikson and coach of Pete Sampras, Tim Gullikson was diagnosed with brain-tumors.  Tim passed away in 1996 at the age of 44.

During the past six years, tennis celebrities such as Andy Roddick, Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Jennifer Capriati, Jim Courier, Todd Martin, Stan Smith, Mary Joe Fernandez, Corina Morariu have taken part in Swingtime festivities. Other stars that have participated in Swingtime in the past were professional golfers Michelle McGann, Jane Geddes, Annette DeLuca and Brad Faxon; Olympian Bob Beamon, Baseball stars Gary Carter, Bill Gullickson and Keith Hernandez; NFL legends Joe Namath and Paul Warfield; TV Sports Commentators Rich Eisen, Linda Cohn and Brett Haber and actors Robin Givens and James McDaniels.
