For the past 18 years, the Manring gentlemen of the Naples area have prevailed in their local tennis world.  Father Tom and three sons Josh, Eric and Tyler, have all successfully coached the Ba
ron Collier High School boys tennis team, and they were all tennis pros in the Naples area.

Each of them USTA members, they continue to love and play tennis even though the boys are now involved in other professions.

Youngest son Tyler was on the 1997 Baron Collier High School boys tennis team who took home the school’s first high school tennis championship.  Tyler also won the state doubles that year.

A few years later, eldest son Josh took the head coaching position, and in 2002, (his second year coaching,) he succeeded in bringing home the school’s second state title.  Josh was selected as Florida High School Tennis Coach of the Year in 2002.

Then in 2005, middle son Eric and youngest son Tyler took coaching positions with the boys’ tennis team.  That year, the brothers led the Baron Collier H.S. Cougars to their third state title.

"The Manrings have always been exemplary of the finest attributes of our game.  They play excellent competitive tennis, and still maintain themselves as great sportsmen and friends with those they play,” USA Tennis Florida Collier County Representative Spike Gonzales said.  “Eric and Ty have followed the lead of their older brother Josh in leading the Barron Collier varsity tennis team to a state championship."

This tennis family has certainly made an impact on tennis in Collier County.  Thank you, Manring gentlemen, for helping us in our mission to PROMOTE AND DEVELOP TENNIS IN FLORIDA!!
