WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., (February 15, 2007) -- Tickets for the 2007 Davis Cup Quarterfinal tie between the United States and Spain are on sale!  Tickets are sold as a three-day series with prices ranging from $90 to $390, with VIP packages available, and can be purchased by calling (888) 484-8782 (USTA).  The Quarterfinal will take place at the Joel Coliseum in Winston-Salem, N.C., April 6-8.

The match could feature three of the top six players in the world.  No. 4 Andy Roddick and
No. 6 James Blake have been mainstays on the U.S. Davis Cup team along with the world’s No. 1 doubles team, Bob and Mike Bryan.  No. 2 Rafael Nadal is expected to represent Spain.

The best-of-five match series begins Friday, April 6 with two singles matches, featuring each country’s No. 1 player against the other country’s No. 2 player.  Saturday’s schedule features the pivotal doubles match.  The final day of play on Sunday will feature two “reverse singles” matches, when the No. 1 players square-off followed by the No. 2 players meeting each other in the final match.

The match will be played on an indoor hard court and marks the return of Davis Cup play to the site of the 2001 Davis Cup World Group Playoff between the United States and India, which was the home debut for U.S. Davis Cup Captain Patrick McEnroe, Roddick and rookie James Blake.

This will be the eighth meeting between the United States and Spain in Davis Cup play.  The United States leads the series, 4-3.  Spain defeated the United States in the 2004 Davis Cup Final in front of daily crowds of 27,200 in Seville the last time these two countries met.

AIG is the official sponsor of the U.S. Davis Cup team.  Wilson is the official ball of the U.S. Davis Cup team.  Versus and The Tennis Channel will air daily coverage for the U.S. vs. Spain quarterfinal.
