Boca Raton resident and former University of Florida standout Jesse Levine qualified to the main draw at Wimbledon on Thursday for what will be his second appearance at the All England Club.

Last year Levine beat fellow American Donald Young in the opening round before falling to Austria's Jurgen Melzer in five sets.

The No. 136-ranked Levine, the No. 16 seed in the qualifying draw, defeated Aussie Samuel Groth in three sets, German Dieter Kindlmann, then German Matthias Bachinger in three sets to clinch a spot in the main draw. The main draw for the men and women will be announced on Friday.

Other American qualifiers were Rajeev Ram, Michael Yani and veteran Taylor Dent, who continues his comeback from multiple back surgeries.

U.S. Fed Cup team member Melanie Oudin was the lone American qualifier on the women's side.

The power foursome of Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Andy Murray, and Novak Djokovic are the Top 4 seeds for the men, with Andy Roddick the lone American seed at No. 6.

On the women's side Dinara Safina is the top seed, followed by the American seeded representatives Serena and Venus Williams.
