Dunnellon's Larry Turville had a busy late September and early October, collecting three national titles at clay court events near Atlanta, Ga.

Turville finished fourth in singles in October at the The PowerAde USTA National Men's 55 Clay Court Championship in Johns Creek, Ga., but went on to collect the doubles title with his partner as the top seeds.

He then followed that effort by sweeping the singles and doubles at the USTA National Men's 60 Clay Court Championships in Duluth, Ga.

The top-seeded Turville rolled over No. 3 seed Padg Bolton 6-1, 6-0 in the Men's 60 national singles final.

"I managed to get three National titles out of it so turned out pretty well," Turville said. "In the 60 Nationals I won both singles and doubles, my first 60 Nationals. Guess it's time to admit I'm 60. My doubles partner Neal Newman now has 39 National Doubles titles and won three of the National doubles this year with three different partners. My goal is to catch him. I now have 38 National titles, 16 in singles and 22 in doubles."
In the rankings previous to his latest results, Turville is ranked No. 30 in the National Men's 55 Standing List.
