USTA Florida has launched the G-Cast, your guide to junior tennis in Florida with USTA Florida Competitive Tennis Coordinator Andy Gladstone. The monthly podcast is available in iTunes and on the web, and will entertain listeners with special guest coaches, players, news updates, commentary, product reviews and more.

The first episode features an interview with Patrick McEnroe, U.S. Davis Cup captain and general manager of USTA Player Development. He chats candidly about a wide gamut of cutting-edge tennis topics, such as his vision for USTA Player Development, skills he looks for in junior players, the virtues of college tennis, and what changes he would like to see in the game.

McEnroe, the avid sports fan, even gives his opinion on University of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow. McEnroe and Gladstone are both from Queens, NY, were US Open ballboys together and enjoyed some laughs about the good old days in the big city.

"As you know, junior tennis in Florida is probably not just the best in the country, but probably the world," Gladstone says. "The abundance of courts, great coaches and fantastic weather make it the ideal place for juniors of all levels to enjoy our great game. The G-Cast wants you the listener to learn about what's happening from the rookie player to the seasoned champ. I love talking to people and especially love talking about junior tennis. We are going to have some fun!"
