Orlando Hosting Flex League Tennis Intro Event

November 17, 2009 06:00 PM
The Orlando area will host a "Round Robin Flex League Fun Event" for tennis players interested in the USTA Orlando Flex League on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, with two sessions from 9-11 a.m. or 7-9 p.m. at Sylvan Lake Park.

"Anyone can come on out and have some fun playing their choice of singles, doubles, or both in a round robin style," says Chelsea Maratta-Underwood, USTA Florida league tennis organizer for the Orlando Flex League. "You get a chance to have some fun playing tennis while seeing what you feel comfortable playing in, and meet other tennis players."

Players at the 2.5 level can only play singles, while 3.0-rated players and above can play singles or doubles. All players will be entered into a drawing for a free 1/2-hour lesson with Maratta-Underwood, a USPTA teaching professional. There will also be an additional prize given away during the event.

Players must RSVP by Friday, Dec. 11, 2009 by 10 p.m. to (407) 325-7387 or cmaratta@alumni.flagler.edu. Please RSVP with full name, desired singles or doubles play, morning or night session, and your NTRP level.
