Two-time US Open champion Patrick Rafter and four-time Grand Slam champion Guillermo Vilas have rounded out the eight-man field at the inaugural ATP Champions Tour event in Delray Beach, joining John McEnroe and five other legends to kick off the Feb. 20-28, 2010 Delray Beach International Tennis Championships.

South African Johan Kriek and Andres Gomez of Ecuador are also new signees for the ATP Champions Tour field, joining McEnroe, Mats Wilander, Pat Cash and Aaron Krickstein.

Rafter won back-to-back US Open titles in 1997 and 1998 and was twice a runner-up at Wimbledon. The popular Australian reached the No. 1 ranking in the world in July of 1999 and finished No. 2 and No. 4 in the world for the '97 and '98 seasons. Rafter played twice in the ATP tour Delray Beach ITC -- in 2000 and 2001 -- and reached the quarterfinals both years.

In 1977, the Argentine Vilas won 16 ATP titles, the French Open and the US Open, and finished the season ranked No. 2 after winning 72 of his last 73 ATP matches. In addition to his 58 ATP titles and four Grand Slam titles, Vilas was runner-up in another four Grand Slams.

Kriek won Australian Open titles in 1981 and 1982, while Gomez won the 1990 French Open. Players in the Delray Beach ATP Champions Tour field won a combined 391 tournaments, including 38 Grand Slam titles. Four have been inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

Fans remembering McEnroe's six-hour, 22-minute victory over Wilander in the deciding rubber of the United State's 3-2 quarterfinal 1982 Davis Cup win over Sweden won't want to miss the opening night match-up of the two stars in Delray Beach on Feb. 20. It was also in 1982 when Wilander beat Vilas for the French Open title; fans can catch that ATP Champions Tour match-up on Monday, Feb. 22.

"There will be some flashbacks when these guys take to the court," said ITC Tournament Director Mark Baron. "This is a chance for our long-time tennis fans to see these guys compete and show appreciation as to how much they have meant to the sport of tennis."

The Delray Beach ITC's 18th annual ATP World Tour event, starring James Blake, Tommy Haas, Mardy Fish and the Bryan Brothers, will run simultaneously with the new ATP Champions Tour event, with the final of the 32-player field scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 28.

Tickets are available on the official tournament website at www.YellowTennisBall.com or by calling (561) 330-6000. Single-session tickets range in price from $15-$30 for Grandstand seats, $35-$55 for Reserved seats, and Box seats are $65-$85.
