Daytona, Gainesville Strong at USTA Florida Jr. Team Tennis Fall Chps.

Below are the winning and runner-up teams from the USTA Florida Jr. Team Tennis Fall Section Championship, held Dec. 12-13, 2009, at the Florida Tennis Center in Daytona Beach, Fla.

All local Florida USTA Jr. Team Tennis teams that have participated in an official USTA Jr. Team Tennis Fall season program, have a current USTA junior membership and played in at least three different local league matches were invited to the Fall Section Championship.

"The object of this event was the players' enjoyment with the emphasis on sportsmanship," said USTA Florida Team Tennis Coordinator Michelle Willis. "Overall, USTA Jr. Team Tennis and USTA Florida hopes to foster team spirit and identity. It is our goal to help players attain the highest possible levels of achievement, both on and off the court."

Gainesville cleaned-up with two titles, while Daytona Beach reached three finals.
