Florida High School and Middle School Tennis Promotion, Grants

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Jan. 15, 2010 -- From January through April 2010, USTA Florida will donate $5 to school tennis teams for every player or student who joins or renews a USTA membership. In addition, for every 10 players/students who join or renew their membership, the coach will receive a free case of tennis balls. 

"USTA Florida is committed to supporting school tennis," said USTA Florida Schools Coordinator Rebecca Halpern. "This membership incentive will be provide financial assistance to support high school and middle school tennis teams, and help coaches encourage every student at their school to play the sport of a lifetime."

Other available opportunities include 2-for-1 QuickStart Tennis Court Grants where for USTA member schools only, if the school purchases a $100 QuickStart Tennis set, USTA Florida will purchase the second one. 

Also available are in-service training for school or after-school instructors, the Physical Educators Guide for Teaching Tennis in Schools curriculum kit, tennis equipment and staff support, and downloads including:
