Get Involved in Tennis Night in America 2010 Youth Registration

January 10, 2010 06:00 PM

When your tennis facility or organization hosts a Youth Registration tennis event in partnership with the USTA and Tennis Night in America, together we can put tennis on center stage in your community.

Youth Registration will help jumpstart your upcoming junior tennis programs by getting kids and their parents involved with the game. You choose any day from Feb. 26-March 1, 2010, that works best for your facility and community.

Host an event at any facility -- a tennis club, park, recreation center, school or even a retail center. Ideas for potential events include pizza parties, QuickStart Tennis, exhibitions, clinics, and equipment demo days. The event can even be as simple as a registration table set up at the conclusion of a regularly-scheduled tennis program.

When you register a facility to host a Youth Registration event, the USTA will provide:

* Turnkey marketing materials, including flyers, posters, print ads, and press releases

* A downloadable how-to-guide that includes tips on event planning and marketing, event execution and recap

* Access to Recreational On-Court Training Workshops for parents, coaches and instructors.

Tennis Night in America culminates on March 1, 2010, as the best stars in tennis compete live on HBO in the BNP Paribas Showdown for the Billie Jean King Cup. Tennis returns to Madison Square Garden when Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Kim Clijsters and Svetlana Kuznetsova play one-set singles semifinals followed by a best-of-three-set final.
