The Polo Club of Boca Raton, Fla, has been named the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) Private Facility of the Year. Nestled on 1,100 meticulously manicured acres, The Polo Club of Boca Raton provides its members with a nationally-recognized tennis facility, an incredible 35,000 square foot spa and fitness center, two premier championship golf courses, and a myriad of social and dining activities.

The PTR presented its annual awards this week during the 2010 PTR International Tennis Symposium. The event, which includes 50-plus on-court and classroom presentations for tennis teachers and coaches, a tennis trade show and a $25,000 Championships, is being held Feb. 12-18, 2010, at PTR Headquarters on Hilton Head Island, S.C.

The Polo Club's world-class tennis facility has 29 Har-Tru courts, 11 of which are lighted for evening play, dynamic and innovative tennis programs, and extraordinary amenities for players, members and guests.

"The Polo Club's longtime Director of Tennis Jean Mills and her staff are committed to excellence in all areas of service, and it truly shows," said a PTR release. "The club offers clinics, drills, social tennis, game matching, a full service pro shop and more, to suit players of all ages and abilities. The Polo Club is truly extraordinary in all areas of tennis operations, tennis programming, club amenities, charitable endeavors and support of PTR
and the tennis industry."

The Club was at one time the residence of tennis greats such as Chris Evert and Stefanie Graf, and has been host to tennis events such as the Andy Roddick Charity Event, Virginia Slims pro tour stops, Pro-Celebrity events, and a number of ITF and USTA championships, including the USTA Girls' 12 and Under National Championship for the past 21 years.
