The Florida Youth Tennis Foundation (FYTF) and USTA Florida partnered to introduce Junior Team Tennis to Cedar Key youth on Saturday, March 11 at the Cedar Key School.  Local children are excited to participate in this program in their very own community!

Pierce Kelley of FYTF and USTA Florida Community Coordinator Matt Graham joined together to provide this event and create an opportunity for local children to be involved in Junior Team Tennis in Cedar Key.

Windscreens, benches and water coolers were provided by Scott Harrison and Emerald Coast Distributors.  Scott helped with the youth during the event as well.  Sante Fe Community College freshman Holly Jones also helped make this event possible.  Rose Valle, professional photographer, snapped pictures of the children as they enjoyed the afternoon tennis festivities.

Giveaways were provided to young tennis players that signed up to be USTA members!

"It is great to see something like this happen in Cedar Key," Kelley said.  "The Florida Youth Tennis Foundation enjoys working with USTA Florida and helping give a tennis boost to communities across the state."

“The local volunteers and parents made this happen,” Graham said.  “The looks on the kids’ faces on court was gratifying for us all.”
