Viera Community Welcomes Tennis Back

April 10, 2006 11:15 AM

Heritage Isle in Viera, FL, was hopping on March 29 as nearly 60 members of the 55 community gathered for a USTA Florida Welcome Back to Tennis event!  An on-court activity, a lunch buffet, and speakers and raffles kept the tennis players entertained, and Wilson sent demo racquets, 15 racquets for prizes, hats and other items for give-aways.

USTA national trainer Anne Davis enthusiastically led on-court activities for the participants, and as participants enjoyed the lunch buffet, Dr. Mark A.Brimer from Wuesthoff Health Systems talked about the health benefits of exercising.

USTA Florida volunteer Barbara Wong, and Craig Cusanelli and Patrick Whalen of Heritage Isle helped put the event together.  USTA Florida Community Coordinator Trina Singian said it was a definite team effort.

“Heritage Isle set up a delicious lunch for the players,” Singian said.  “It was great to see all the participants out on the courts.  They were so eager to get out there and hit the ball!”
