A USTA Florida Ralleyball Jamboree was held for 14 teams at the Florida Tennis Center in Daytona Beach May 27.  A round-robin was played, lunch was served, hit for prizes, a raffle and a carnival provided entertainment for the afternoon.

Sportmanship awards went to Hannah Jacobsen and Timmy Conroy.  Three racquets were given away during the raffle.  Community coordinator Trina Singian planned the event and had a great time with the kids.

“It was a great event for entry level kids to get excited about tennis, promote team spirit, and have a lot of fun,” Singian said.

She thanks Jodi Manning, Andy McFarland, Linda Curtis, Tori Townsend, Sharon Hepburn, Marie Wolf and Vinny Abaleo for support, encouragement and helping keep the event organized and fun.  Thank you also to Andy and Rita Gladstone for doing such an enthusiastic demo!

“From start to finish, it was just a wonderful day of tennis and fun for the kids!” USTA Florida Director of Community Development Linda Curtis said.  “The Florida Tennis Center was filled with an abundance of smiles and laughter both on and off the court.  Trina Singian did a fabulous job of organizing the jamboree.”
