Gainesville area Junior Team Tennis coaches are now trained and ready for action!  About 20 area coaches, volunteers and parents gathered at the Don Blair Racquet Club in Gainesville Saturday, Aug. 26, to learn the most effective techniques for teaching tennis to youngsters.

This USTA Recreational Coach Workshop (RCW) was led by national trainer and USTA Florida community consultant Dede Allen, and organized by Gainesville Area Community Tennis Association president Christine Shurtleff and USTA Florida community coordinator Matt Graham.

"It was great to finally have a workshop in the Gainesville area," Shurtleff said.  "The participants had a great time and they truly benefited from the experience."
