Swingtime - A Pro-Celebrity Pro-Am Tennis & Golf Tournament - Benefiting the Tim & Tom Gullikson Foundation announces that it will hold its annual Gala on Saturday, November 17 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples. The theme is “Swingin’ at the Ritz” and will feature dozens of celebrities, swing music and dancers, Texas Hold’em and Blackjack, and live and silent auctions.

"I am looking forward to hitting some aces on the tennis court and then drawing aces at the blackjack table,” said Event Host Tom Gullikson. “As they said in the 20’s, the gala is going to be the ‘bee’s knees."

Swingtime is an action-packed weekend that consistently attracts top sports and entertainment celebrities to take part in the many exciting activities. In addition to the gala, the event’s activities include a Round-Robin Tennis Pro-Am and Tennis Exhibition at The Players Club & Spa at Lely Resort on Saturday on November 17 and a Golf Pro-Am Tournament at Olde Cypress on November 18.

Among the many celebrity guests already confirmed to join Gullikson are tennis legend Chris Evert, tennis stars Mardy Fish, Todd Martin, Jimmy Arias, Xavier Malisse, Lori McNeil, Kathy Rinaldi, Corina Morariu, Carling Bassett-Seguso, Harold Solomon, Gigi Fernandez and Jamea Jackson; plus former players from the NFL, Major League Baseball alumni, Olympic athletes and sportscasters.

The Tim & Tom Gullikson Foundation was established in 1995 after Tim was diagnosed with malignant brain tumors. Tim Gullikson, who as a coach helped establish Pete Sampras as the top player in the world, died in 1996, at age 44, after losing his battle with the disease. The Foundation’s mission is to fund care and support programs to assist brain-tumor patients and their families in managing the physical, emotional and social challenges presented by the illness. Among other things, the Foundation funds information and support phone lines for brain tumor patients and their families, sends children who are brain tumor survivors to camp, and gives college scholarships to students who have been affected by brain tumors.
