Mike Kypriss – 2006 Coach of the Year Finalist

The National High School Athletic Coaches Association announced its 2006 Coach of the Year finalists last month, and Dr. Krop High School Tennis Coach Mike Kypriss of Pembroke Pines, FL, has been chosen to represent the Southeast United States at the National Awards Banquet in Missouri in June.

Kypriss is receiving this award for his outstanding coaching record, awards received, service to the coaching profession and his athletes’ achievements.

Now the head tennis coach at Dr. Krop High School in Miami, Kypriss is the former Miami Killian High School coach, and has nine state championships and eight runners-up on his record.  Elite players Jack Brasington, Elizabeth Levinson and Paige Yaroshuk-Tews played on his teams, and he currently coaches ATP player Jean-Julien Rojer. 

Kypriss is the founder and owner of the Michael Kypriss Junior Tennis Academy in Aventura, FL.
