Six players from Dr. Krop High School in Aventura, Fla. will represent the section in the National High School Southeast Regional Championships at Emory University in Atlanta April 6-7.  This event is sponsored by the National High School Tennis Association and includes the best 32 tennis programs in the Nation!  Dr. Krop High School was the only team in Florida that got picked to compete in this prestigious tournament.

Ryan Kim, Gino Ramirez, William Federhofer, Mark Schanerman, Alex Krantz and Danny Fertig have played competitive junior tennis in Florida since they were 12 yrs old.  Now, as top players in their sport, the young men will face strong teams from other regions in route to the National Championships in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The top four teams from each region advance to the site of the ATP Masters series in Cincinnati for the National Championships April 20-21.

Coach Mike Kypriss will lead the team in Atlanta.  Mike was named 2006 South Section Coach of the Year for his outstanding work with tennis athletes.  He has ten state championships and eight runners-up on his record.  He is also the founder and owner of the Michael Kypriss Junior Tennis Academy in Aventura.

"This is a tremendous honor to represent Florida Tennis,” he said.  “It is a real tribute to these players who have already won two State Championships, 2004 and 2006, and now have a chance to be National Champions.”

Congratulations to all players for this special honor.  Good luck at the tournament; we are expecting great results!
