Chris Mahony and his wife Crystal, daughter of USTA Florida President Don Cleveland,  reigned as champions, earning the coveted gold ball at the 2005 First Coast Tennis Foundation USTA National Husband-Wife Clay Court Championship in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL October 21-23.

For the fourth consecutive year, the First Coast Tennis Foundation held this annual tournament at the ATP Tennis Club.  All tournament proceeds benefited the First Coast Tennis Foundation in support of community programs.

The event, presented by Firehouse Subs, attracted many local husband-wife teams from clubs in northeast Florida and from across the nation.  Participants in the open division, which count for the USTA National Husband-Wife Clay Court Championships, competed for the famous gold, silver, and bronze ball trophies from the USTA.  Other divisions included “Just-for-Fun” and Senior over 50.

Participants were treated to a welcome dinner reception and complimentary daily lunches during the tournament.
