Naples will be the inaugural event on the 2006 Champions Cup Series, a collection of tennis events in the United States featuring the greatest names in tennis over the age of 30. In 2006, Champions Cup Series events will also be staged in Boston (April 27-30), Memphis (Oct 5-8) and Houston (Nov. 9-12). In order to be eligible to compete on the Champions Cup Series, players must have reached at least a Grand Slam singles final, been ranked in the top five in the world or played singles on a winning Davis Cup team.

Information on Individual Events:

  • Charity Pro- Am Tournament – 4 courts/4 pros – 3 people to a court w/pro
  • Kickoff Press Conference – The Players Club & Spa at Lely Resort
  • Player/Sponsor VIP Party – The Players Club & Spa at Lely Resort
  • Pro-Am Sponsor Clinics – 4 courts/ 4 pros – 6 people to a court for a total of 24 on Sat and the same on Sun (48 total for 2-Day Clinic)
  • Kid’s Day – Open to all
  • Sessions 1 thru 7:  2 matches per session – each match is 2 out of 3 six-game sets with the third set being a champion’s tiebreak (first to 10)
