RITA Foundation tournament benefits breast cancer programs

Jacksonville women – want to have fun playing tennis AND help a great cause?

To benefit the RITA Foundation, Lexus of Jacksonville will present the 2006 SenioRITAs – a three-day women's (40 ) doubles tennis tournament – at Sawgrass Country Club in Jacksonville Oct. 20-22.

One hundred percent of the net proceeds will be split between the breast cancer programs at Baptist Beaches Medical Center and The Mayo Clinic.

Enter today!  Entry deadline is Friday, Oct. 14.  Your $50 (person) or $100 (team) entry fee includes a player goodie bag and entry into the Wednesday, Oct. 18, party and auction at the Golf Clubhouse at Sawgrass.

The play format is by A, B, C and D divisions; then by age groups: 40-54, 55-65 and 66 .  The event is double elimination, so each team is guaranteed two matches.

Trophies will be presented to each division and age group – champion, finalist, consolation winner and consolation finalist.  In the past, SenioRITAs has been a social, fun weekend of tennis!

The RITA (Research Is The Answer) Foundation, Inc., is a Jacksonville-based volunteer non profit organization.  Our mission is to raise awareness and money to help in the fight against all cancers, with emphasis on breast cancer; these may include clinical research, basic research, education, awareness, and patient related breast cancer programs. We will generate revenue through special fund raising events; donate all net proceeds as unrestricted grants; operate with no salary expense or overhead expenses.

All funds will be donated to 501 (c) (3) programs in the greater Jacksonville, Florida area.
