USTA Tallahassee Tennis Challenger

January 25, 2007 10:12 AM

The 8th annual USTA Tallahassee Tennis Challenger will take place March 31 - April 7 at the City of Tallahassee’s beautiful Forestmeadows Tennis Complex.  This tournament is part of the professional men’s Challenger series and benefits the
D. Mark Vogter Neuro-Intensive Care Unit at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.

Last year, American Mardy Fish edged out fellow America Zach Fleishman for the Challenger Singles title.  Players from all over the world, including several former top 50 players and some of the top doubles players will participate in this exciting tournament and vie for $50,000 in prize money.

This event is unique because the USTA Tallahassee Tennis Challenger is the only non-profit Challenger which means everyone involved with the tournament is a volunteer!  Proceeds raised at this tournament assist patients at the Vogter Neuro-Intensive Care Unit who suffer from neurological trauma and life threatening illnesses, such as head injuries, strokes, brain tumors and aneurysms.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to help out the Tallahassee community and see world class tennis players participate in this exciting event.

For more information on sponsorship, tickets or volunteer opportunities, contact Karen Vogter at Karen@TallahasseeChallenger.com (850-385-3521) or Maria Yealdhall at (850-933-6580).
