TOP-TEN RANKED JAMES BLAKE & TOMMY HAAS COMMIT TO
2008 DELRAY BEACH INTERNATIONAL TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS -

JOIN #1 WORLD-RANKED BRYAN BROTHERS

February 9 - 17 at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center

James Blake & Tommy Haas, fresh off their epic 5-set marathon at the US Open, will compete in Delray Beach!

James Blake is the #6 world-ranked tennis player, a GQ model, new author and now a Delray Beach fixture, American star James Blake has confirmed he will play in the '08 Delray Beach ITC. The enormously popular Blake, the ATP 2006 Comeback Player of the Year and the 2007 runner-up here in Delray Beach, will join #10 world-ranked Tommy Haas, and #1 world-ranked Bryan Brothers in headlining the '08 ticket!

"It's exciting to have James back as he's been a fixture in the Top 10 in the world these past couple of years, says tournament director Mark Baron. When we announced he was coming to last year's tournament, the phone rang off the hook for tickets. He's tremendously popular on the court as well as off, a fighter and a gentleman, and a great ambassador of the game."

German Star Tommy Haas commits to Delray Beach.

Three-time US Open quarterfinalist Tommy Haas, who won the 2005 Delray Beach ITC title, will be making his 3rd appearance in the tournament. The #10 world-ranked Haas reached the quarterfinals of the US Open with an upset win over #6 world-ranked James Blake, where he fought off three match points and prevailed in a fifth-set tiebreaker. Haas, a long-time Bradenton, Florida resident, has a 30-11 record in 2007. He was the ATP's Comeback Player of the Year in 2004 and like Blake, his career was once derailed by injury and his trek back into the Top 10 has been inspirational. After reaching a career-high ranking of #2 in the world, a severe shoulder injury caused him to miss a year and a half of tennis.

With Haas, Blake and the world #1 doubles partners Mike and Bob Bryan already signed, tournament director Mark Baron is excited. "It's been a great offseason in which we've been able to attract four Top 10 players to Delray Beach. We're expecting the 2008 field to be our strongest yet from top to bottom."
