August 25, 2008 10:29 AM

Delray Beach, FL (August 22, 2008) - Tennis fans won’t want to miss the first-ever early purchase window for single-session tickets to the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships (ITC).  The 17th annual ATP tournament is bringing tennis fans’ favorite players back to the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center February 21 – March 1, 2009.  The Delray Beach ITC advanced ticket sale will run concurrently with the upcoming U.S. Open at a time when tennis ferver is reaching a crescendo across the world.

Beginning on Saturday, August 23 at 10:00 am and continuing through Sunday, September 7 at  midnight, Delray Beach fans can order tickets to the sessions of their choice. Once this exclusive 15-day window closes, single-session tickets to the annual seaside event will not be available again until December 1. Single-session ticket prices range from $15 for early rounds and up to $85 for weekend seats. Tickets are available on the official tournament website at www.YellowTennisBall.com or by calling (561) 330-6000.

“For the first time ever we have made our best seats available six months out from the event“, says tournament director Mark Baron, who hopes to announce a player commitment in the next few weeks.   The  2009  Delray  Beach  ITC  is  enjoying  a  new  date  on  the  ATP  calendar,  immediately following tournaments in San Jose and Memphis and preceding tournaments in Indian Wells and Miami. As the lynchpin between these four events, the Delray Beach ITC is looking to surpass its best-ever attendance, including its record-setting championship weekend crowds last year when world-ranked Top-10 James Blake and the world No. 1 team of Mike & Bob Bryan played to a full stadium. Following the 15-day advance sale period for single-session seats, series packages will remain on sale.

The two most popular packages are the Championship Series and the Weekender Series; the Championships Series includes all 13 sessions for $280 while the Weekender includes the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals for $2305 sessions in all. Box seat packages will also remain on sale. Ticket prices range from $1,800 to $2,400 for four courtside tickets for all sessions, premier parking and invitations to the  exclusive  annual Box Holders Party. Complete tournament information can be found at the official tournament website, www.YellowTennisBall.com, at myspace and facebook ("DelrayBeachITC") or by calling the tournament office at (561) 330-6000.
