American Crawford Wins 2012 US Open Girls' Title; Pro Circuit Amelia Island

Crawford follows Grace Min (2011) and CoCo Vandeweghe (2008) as Americans to win US Open Girls' titles in the last five years. Crawford as a wildcard also qualified into the US Open women's singles main draw, losing a tight match to Britain's Laura Robson, who went on to upset seeds Kim Clijsters and Li Na. Read More

USTA Southern Beats Florida in Finals of Donoff Challenge Cup

"It came down to the last match of the last day, with Geoff Moore of Florida against Armistead Neely of Southern," said USTA Florida team competitor Larry Turville. "Whoever wins the match their team takes the Cup. Early on it looked like Florida was in the driver's seat with Moore up a set and 4-1, and then serving at match point 6-5 in the tiebreaker. But Southern's Neely played tough, took the tiebreak, and with Moore tiring won the third set 6-1." Read More

The Daytona-based organization has launched a month-long online video contest, allowing Florida residents who are 18 and over the chance to show how they would use a Share the Love grant to grown tennis in their communities.
