Brevard County, Broward County, Ocala, Orlando, Sarasota, and Volusia/Flagler county teams were named USTA Florida Section Championships, and will represent Florida at the USTA Adult League National Championships in Arizona and California in October.

Ocala captured the women's 3.0 title, edging Brevard County, which plays out of the Kiwi Tennis Club in Satellite Beach. The Orlando squad's roster was captain Ligia Bottinelli, Lisa Balsera, Pamela Saffran, Anelise Battaglion Tregansin, Maura Trubman Weiner, Natalie McGill and Kerry Young.

In men's play the Volusia/Flagler county men's 3.0 team stopped the Pensacola 3.0 men out of the Roger Scott Tennis Center from a making a second consecutive trip to nationals, winning the tiebreak 10-5 to 8-7 in individual win-losses after both teams were tied with a 2-1 team win-loss record at the end of round robin play.
