Miami Among 4 USTA League Senior Champs; This Weekend's Preview

Marion County, Miami, Pinellas and Volusia/Flagler counties were USTA Florida Section winners over the weekend, and will advance to represent Florida at nationals after capturing titles at the USTA Florida 3.5 & 4.5 Senior League Section Championship, held May 13-15, 2011, at the Florida Tennis Center in Daytona Beach.

The USTA League Senior division (players 50 and older) competes at NTRP (National Tennis Rating Program) levels of 3.0 to 4.5, with team match formats consisting of three doubles matches.

The winning men's and women's teams will represent the USTA Florida Section at the USTA League 4.5 Senior National Championships on Oct. 14-16, 2011, in Indian Wells, Calif., and the 3.5 Senior National Championships on Oct. 21-23 in Indian Wells.

Preview: 3.0 & 4.0 Senior League Sectional Championships

The USTA League Senior Championships will wrap-up this weekend when 18 teams representing 18 different cities/counties compete at the USTA Florida 3.0 & 4.0 Senior League Section Championship, May 20-22, 2011, at the Florida Tennis Center in Daytona Beach.
