Cardio Tennis Training Course Coming to Largo

Cardio Tennis Logo resized.jpgThe Southwest Recreation Complex in Largo, Fla., will host a Cardio Tennis Training Course on Saturday, Feb, 8, 2014, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Cardio Tennis is a fun, group tennis fitness activity using fast-paced tennis games and drills for players of all ability and fitness levels, featuring music and heart rate monitors. It is a calorie-burning social fitness activity for people of all ages.

As licensed Cardio Tennis professionals, course participants will have mastered running an ideal Cardio Tennis class, working with players of different ability and fitness levels, the nuances Cardio Tennis, and understanding what it's like to wear a heart rate monitor.

"This training course teaches the fundamentals of Cardio Tennis and everything you need to know to make it a success at your facility," says Michele Krause, Tennis Industry Association Cardio Tennis manager. "After participating in this course you will have a strong understanding of what Cardio Tennis is, creating a healthy curriculum, the importance of using and how to use heart rate monitors, the six components of Cardio Tennis, proper warm-up activities, Cardio games and drills, cool-down activities and cardio blasts, drill-based vs. play-based exercises, and how to market and make money with Cardio Tennis."

The course registration fee is $150 which includes lunch. The Southwest Recreation Complex is located at 13120 Vonn Rd. in Largo, Fla.
