The Florida State University campus will see a variety of students supporting Special Olympics tennis this week when USTA Florida holds its first "30-Love" event on the Tallahassee campus.

In a partnership between the university, Special Olympics Florida, the USTA Florida Foundation and Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, students and volunteers will hold a tennis clinic for Special Olympics athletes from 3:30-5 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Florida State University tennis center.

"30-Love is a new way for young adults to show leadership and provide tennis to individuals with disabilities in their communities," says USTA Florida Event and Sponsorship Coordinator Alex Gold. "It is great to see the numbers we have for this event, the students working together to share the love of tennis."

Using modified tennis equipment, student leaders from FSU's Sigma Alpha Epsilon chapter will lead the clinic, culminating with a ceremony on court with the Florida State Men's tennis team celebrating the Special Olympics athletes and student volunteers.

"We hope the community will come out and fill the stands in support of the Special Olympics athletes on court," Gold says.
