Florida Adult Ranking System Explanation
This link takes you to information about the Florida Adult Ranking System.  It includes explanations and a point table.

Seeding List and Ranking Lists will be updated approximately every 4 weeks.
Adult 2012 Ranking Points Table

NTRP State Championships - players with no rating who wish to compete in the NTRP State Championships must play in 2 NTRP events prior to the State Championships.




2012 Adult Ranking Information
  • The "best of" number of tournaments will be set at four (4) for women. 2 National tournaments can be part of a player's top 4, but the 2 National tournaments must be played in Florida.
  • The "best of" number of tournaments will be set at four (4) for men in the 30's to 50's age categories. 2 National tournaments can be part of a player's top 4, but the 2 National tournaments can be anywhere in the US.
  • The "best of" number of tournaments will be set at five (5) for men in the 55's and up age categories. 2 National tournaments can be part of a player's top 4, but the 2 National tournaments must be played in Florida.
  • Doubles team rankings will be set at three (3) tournaments.
  • The Florida "tentative ranking" list will consist of only sanctioned USTA tournaments played in Florida including National tournaments played in Florida for all women's categories and men's 55-90 categories. The "tentative ranking" for the men's 50 and over and below categories will consist of all sanctioned tournaments played in Florida and all santioned National tournaments played anywhere in the US.  The "tentative ranking" list will comprise of only Florida players for all categories.
  • The Florida "seeding list" will consist of all USTA sanctioned tournaments in the U.S. Players from Florida and outside of Florida will appear on the "seeding list".
  • The State Championships will return to a closed event (only Florida players) to reward Florida players who play the event.
  • The point tables will be changed to have the same values as the National Point Table. State (sectional) Championships will be at the 400 level (same as Cat II's) for the the men and 300 level for the women.
  • In order to be on the final ranking list you must have played and won rounds in at least 2 sanctioned events in the Florida section.
