Tennis Party Combo Kick-Off @ Lake Cane with Power 95.3, USTA Florida in Orlando on Aug. 12

Orlando tennis fans can whack tennis balls for free while kicking it with Power 95.3, Orlando's Hip Hop leader, on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Lake Cane Tennis Center, celebrating the kick-off of the USTA Florida Adult Combo League. Meet other players while enjoying games, prizes and give-aways, play and see tennis demonstrations, all while the Power 95.3 Power Bus goes live for two hours on location.

Former Grand Slam champion, Florida resident and recent Tennis Hall of Fame inductee Gigi Fernandez will hit with players and sign autographs. All attendees will be entered in a prize drawing, with the grand prize winner receiving a new Wilson tennis racquet and a free tennis lesson. Free mini-classes will also be held for players that want to improve basic skills, or receive an introduction to the basics of league play.

The USTA Florida Adult Combo Doubles league is for players 18 years and older in a fun combined-level format. Each team is comprised of three doubles pairs, each of different ability levels, that play other teams of the same level. Teams that win their local league advance to the USTA Florida Section Championships at the Florida Tennis Center in Daytona Beach.

Players can also test some of the latest Wilson racquets, and check out local league offerings. Other give-aways will include backpacks, wrist bands, gift cards by TennisPlaza, and other prizes.
