How many years have you been a Captain?
Why do you enjoy Captaining?
When did you start playing tennis?
It is a pleasure captaining a group of women who enjoy tennis so much that they play at least 5 days a week, sometimes twice a day. Everyone is so highly motivated they do not need any encouragement from me. I like the competitive spirit, and the chance to meet women from all over the Collier, South Lee County areas.
I think I started playing tennis 6 to 8 years ago. I met friends at the Collier County Parks' Tennis Clinics, clinics led to lessons, which led to the Collier County Women's Tennis Association, which led to USTA, Competitive Tennis.
How did you start captaining?
|It was just a natural progression. I was a member of teams; team members changed, a Captain was needed. I had been a Head Nurse, so I figured I could probably do a fairly good job being a captain of a tennis team.

My mobility, court coverage.
Federer or Nadal?
Federer, he seems so cool, calm, and comfortable out there. What is your favorite movie?
Moonstruck is one of many.
Who is your sports hero?
I am rather fed up with the prima donnas on pro teams, they live in a surreal world, and many have lost touch with where they came from. So, I'd have to say the Pelican Bay Community Park 3.0 Senior Women's USTA is my favorite sports team. Playing tennis or any sport for the fun of it.
If you can attend one grand slam, which one would it be?
It would be the French Open. I love their food.
If you can have dinner with a pro player who would it be?
If you mean tennis: Agassi, I think the conversation might include other things besides tennis. If any sport, Derek Jeter.
Clay or hard court?
Clay Courts are my preference, at 60, hard courts are a little hard on my joints.
