Two new employees joined the USTA Florida team this spring as the organization strengthened tennis support for the Gainesville-Ocala area (Region 2) in North-Central Florida, and also office support at the Daytona Beach headquarters at the Florida Tennis Center.

Amanda Tobin was named tennis program coordinator (TPC) for the North-Central Florida region, servicing areas in and around Gainesville and Ocala, as well as Lake City and The Villages. A graduate of Kennesaw State University with a degree in sports management, she previously worked with the USTA as a marketing intern during the summer of 2009 for the USTA Southern Section, and as an administrative assistant for USTA Georgia.

"Everyone I have met that is involved with the USTA has an incredible passion for tennis and makes me proud to be involved with such an amazing organization," Tobin said.

Kate Winslow is the new USTA Florida Play Tennis Division administrative assistant, another former Georgia resident who moved back to Florida in 2002 from Atlanta. Winslow attended Seabreeze High school in Daytona Beach, is a former basketball scholarship player at Daytona State College, and graduated from the University of Central Florida in May 2010 with a B.S. in Political Science and a minor in Psychology.
