Two-time US Open champion Tracy Austin returns as honorary chairperson, and QuickStart Tennis for 10-and-under children will be featured on Sept. 16-19, 2010, in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., during the 3rd annual Linda's Legacy, a Tournament of Love! Women's Doubles Tennis Tournament and Pro-Am.

The tournament and QuickStart Tennis clinic will be held at a new site, the Marsh Landing Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., and feature a QuickStart Tennis clinic for children for the first time.

"We are constantly looking for ways to improve the tournament, and I believe the move to Marsh Landing, the addition of clinic-only play with Tracy, and the addition of the QuickStart Tennis will take the tournament to a new level," says tournament founder and organizer Michelle Paul. "We have another really big announcement that should be finalized soon...so stay tuned!"

In addition to the tennis, the main event of the weekend will be on Saturday evening when the Foundation will host a '70s-themed Player Party at the Marsh Landing clubhouse. The evening, open to sponsors and their guests, players, and the public for a nominal cost, will include entertainment by the Boogie Freaks, beverages and heavy hors d'oeuvres, silent and live auctions and raffles.

Proceeds from the event go to The Linda's Legacy Foundation, a non-profit organization with a mission to increase lung cancer awareness, support research for early detection, and assist victims of lung cancer with special needs.

USTA Florida will sponsor the QuickStart Tennis clinic, which offers 10-and-under children a chance to properly learn tennis featuring smaller court sizes, racquet sizes, foam and decompressed balls, a simple scoring system, and net heights adjusted to ease kids into the sport and advance them quickly into league and competitive play.

"We are excited that QuickStart Tennis is going to be a part of this year's tournament and USTA Florida will be a sponsor," said USTA Florida First Coast-area Tennis Program Coordinator Amanda Becker. "The Quickstart Tennis clinic will have a fee, with all proceeds going to the Linda's Legacy Foundation. All kids will receive lunch at the end sponsored by Urban Flats and a goodie bag containing a stuffed animal, coupons, a QuickStart Parents Guide, an autographed tennis ball signed by Tracy Austin, a coupon from Go Pro Tennis for $5 off a QuickStart racquet and more."
